As the Institute’s Director of Advocacy, Olga Kikou spearheads our legislative advocacy strategy. She has a track record of successfully engaging with EU policymakers, having built a strong network within the EU institutions and EU civil society over the course of two decades.
Olga is a substitute representative of the Citizens’ Committee for the End The Cage Age European Citizens’ Initiative, the only ECI to have obtained a positive commitment from the European Commission, and she was instrumental in its success. She has over 25 years of experience in civil society advocacy and a wide range of interests and expertise, from advancing animal-related causes to harnessing citizen participation in support of social justice and green issues.
Olga holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Massachusetts.
