Alice Di Concetto was invited to present at the 2021 UK Animal Law Conference, organized by the UK Center for Animal Law (A-Law). She discussed the recent developments in EU farm animal welfare legislation and prospective change as a result of the European Green Deal.
Alice Di Concetto (Executive Director and Chief Legal Adviser) authored a chapter on EU Animal Law in the newly-published book “Nordic Animal Law: Welfare and Rights” (Ethics Press, 2024). This book provides an overview of animal protection laws in the Nordic countries, and is now available for purchase (hardcopies and e-book).
The European Commission’s special advisory group on agriculture has pushed for further delays in the revision of the EU animal welfare laws in their new report, published today, 4 September 2024. This jeopardizes the EU’s ambitions to update the current legislation.
