Alice Di Concetto was invited to speak at a panel moderated by the Minister of the Universities of Spain, Dr Manuel Castells, with Núria Almiron (Professor in Communications, University Pompeu Fabra’s Center for Animal Ethics), and Pim Martens (Professor in Sustainable Development, University of Maastricht). The event took place at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, in Spain.

New Report Augurs Further Delay of the Promised EU Animal Welfare Revolution

The European Commission’s special advisory group on agriculture has pushed for further delays in the revision of the EU animal welfare laws in their new report, published today, 4 September 2024. This jeopardizes the EU’s ambitions to update the current legislation.
